Getting There

    From Heidelberg, head to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). You can reach the station by walking or taking a local tram or bus. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Speyer (the journey takes about 30 minutes). Board a regional train (RE or S-Bahn) heading towards Speyer. Upon arrival at Speyer station, exit the train and follow the signs to the city center.

    Once you arrive at Speyer train station, exit the station and turn left onto Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Am Alten Stadttor. Turn right and follow Am Alten Stadttor as it becomes Maximilianstraße. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Domplatz, where Speyer Cathedral is located. The cathedral will be visible as you approach.

    Alternatively, upon exiting Speyer train station, you can take bus line 568 towards Speyer Domplatz. Board the bus at the station and ride for about 5 minutes. Get off at the Domplatz stop, which is directly adjacent to Speyer Cathedral.
