Public Transport
The Märchenbrunnen is easily accessible via public transport. Take the U-Bahn (lines U1, U2, U3, U4, or U5) or tram (lines 11, 12, or N8) to Willy-Brandt-Platz station. From the station, the fountain is a short walk away, located in the Untermainanlage, next to the Städtische Bühnen (Municipal Theatres). A single ride ticket costs approximately €3.
Walking
If you are already in the city center, such as near the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) or Römerberg, the Märchenbrunnen is within walking distance. From the Hauptbahnhof, walk southeast along Kaiserstraße, then turn left onto Willy-Brandt-Platz. From Römerberg, walk west along the Mainkai, cross the Untermainbrücke bridge, and continue onto Willy-Brandt-Platz. The fountain is located next to the opera house.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof to Willy-Brandt-Platz will typically cost between €6 and €8, depending on traffic. The journey is very short.
Driving
If driving, parking is available at the 'Am Theater' garage located at Willy-Brandt-Platz 5. The entrance is on Untermainanlage. Parking costs €2 per hour on weekdays and €1 per hour on Sundays and public holidays. There is a special evening tariff of €6 available from 5 PM to 7 AM the following morning. Be aware that parking can be limited, especially during events at the opera or theatre.
