Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are near one of Munich's main train stations, such as Munich Hauptbahnhof, take the S-Bahn line S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7, or S8 towards Leuchtenbergring or any line heading towards the city center. Get off at Marienplatz station. Once you exit the station, head towards the town hall (Neues Rathaus) and then walk straight through the pedestrian zone. As you walk, keep an eye out for Viktualienmarkt on your right. Continue straight until you reach Alter Hof, located on your left side at Alter Hof 1.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the Altstadt-Lehel district, locate Marienplatz, the central square of Munich. From Marienplatz, walk towards the eastern side of the square where the town hall is located. Exit Marienplatz onto Dienerstraße and continue straight. You will reach a small street called Alter Hof, where Alter Hof is located at number 1. The walk should take about 10 minutes.

  • Tram

    If you are near a tram stop, take tram line 19 towards Pasing. Get off at the stop called 'Sendlinger Tor.' From there, walk towards the pedestrian area and then head straight to Marienplatz. Follow the directions mentioned above to reach Alter Hof.

  • Bus

    If you are near a bus stop, take bus line 62 or 100 towards Sendlinger Tor. Get off at the Sendlinger Tor stop. From there, walk towards Marienplatz and follow the previously mentioned walking directions to reach Alter Hof.
