If you are near the central train station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U2 line towards Messestadt Ost. After 4 stops, get off at 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)'. From there, transfer to the U5 line towards Neuperlach Süd and take it one stop to 'Lehel'. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards 'Max-Joseph-Platz'. It’s a short walk of about 10 minutes, heading northeast towards the plaza where the National Theatre is located at Max-Joseph-Platz 2.

If you are near the Sendlinger Tor, board tram line 19 towards 'St. Emmeram'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Max-Joseph-Platz'. The National Theatre will be directly in front of you as you exit the tram.

From the central area, you can take bus line 100 or 153. Board the bus and travel to 'Max-Joseph-Platz'. The bus will stop right at the plaza, making it easy to access the National Theatre.

If you are already in the Altstadt-Lehel area, you can easily walk to the National Theatre. Head towards 'Max-Joseph-Platz' which is about a 10-15 minute walk from Marienplatz. From Marienplatz, walk northeast along the Kaufingerstraße, then turn left onto Theatinerstraße until you reach the plaza.
