Getting There

  • Train

    From Munich, head to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof). Purchase a ticket for the S-Bahn line S8 towards Leuchtenbergring or the S2 towards Erding. Both trains will take you to Freising. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Freising station, exit the train and follow the signs to the town center.

    After exiting the Freising train station, head straight down Bahnhofstraße until you reach the first major intersection. Turn right onto Lankesstraße, and continue walking straight. You will pass shops and cafes. Follow Lankesstraße until you reach the Domberg hill. The cathedral is located at the top of Domberg. Look for signs that will guide you to Freising Cathedral. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes.
