Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are starting from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7, or S8) to Marienplatz. When you arrive at Marienplatz station, take the exit towards Marienplatz. Once you surface, you will see the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) in front of you. From there, head towards the left side of the square and walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will see Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Dear Lady) at Frauenplatz 1.

  • Walking

    If you are near Viktualienmarkt, simply head northwest towards Tal. Continue straight until you reach Marienplatz. Once at Marienplatz, you will see the New Town Hall ahead. Walk towards the left side of the square, and you will arrive at Frauenkirche in about 10 minutes.

  • Tram

    If you are near Sendlinger Tor, take Tram line 16 or 17 towards Effnerplatz. Get off at the stop called 'Marienplatz'. After exiting the tram, follow the path towards the New Town Hall. From there, proceed to the left side of Marienplatz, and you will reach Frauenkirche in about 5 minutes.

  • Bus

    If you are near Sendlinger Strasse, take Bus 62 towards 'Scheidplatz'. Get off at the 'Marienplatz' stop. After exiting the bus, head towards the New Town Hall, and then move to the left side of the square. Frauenkirche will be visible from there, and you can reach it within a 5-minute walk.
