Public Transport
If you are starting from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7, S8) to Marienplatz. Upon arrival at Marienplatz, exit the station and walk towards the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). From there, walk east along Dienerstraße until you reach Hofgarten. The War memorial is located in the courtyard of Hofgarten. Look for the large monument once you enter the courtyard.

If you are near the English Garden, exit the park towards the east and head towards the Odeonsplatz. Once at Odeonsplatz, you will see the Theatinerkirche on your left. Walk south towards the Hofgarten entrance. Enter the Hofgarten, and you will find the War memorial in the courtyard on your right side.

From Sendlinger Tor station, take the U2 or U8 to Marienplatz. After arriving at Marienplatz, follow the same directions as mentioned above: exit the station, walk towards the Neues Rathaus, and proceed east along Dienerstraße to Hofgarten, where the War memorial is situated.
