If you are starting from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7, S8) to Marienplatz. Upon arrival at Marienplatz, exit the station and walk towards the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). From there, walk east along Dienerstraße until you reach Hofgarten.
