If you're in the heart of Schwabing, head east on Leopoldstraße. Walk towards the intersection with Türkenstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Sophienstraße. At this point, turn left onto Sophienstraße. Gedenkstein an die erste Gleichstromfernübertragung will be located on your left at Sophienstraße 7A, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from central Schwabing.

Public Transport - Tram
From Schwabing, you can take the tram line 27 from the 'Münchner Freiheit' stop. Board the tram towards 'Sendlinger Tor'. After three stops, get off at 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)'. From there, transfer to tram line 20 or 21 towards 'Giesing' or 'Sendling'. Get off at the 'Universität' stop. Walk north on Ludwigstraße, then turn right onto Sophienstraße. The Gedenkstein will be on your left after a short walk. The total journey will take around 25-30 minutes and requires a single ticket (approx. 3.40 EUR).

You can also opt for the subway. From 'Münchner Freiheit', take the U6 (blue line) towards 'Sendlinger Tor'. Transfer at 'Sendlinger Tor' to the U2 (red line) towards 'Messestadt Ost'. The entire trip will take about 30 minutes, and you will need a single ticket (approx. 3.40 EUR).
