Public Transport
From Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), take the S7 train towards 'S+U Berlin Hauptbahnhof'. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and follow the signs to the S-Bahn (suburban train) lines. Take the S3, S5, S7, or S9 train towards 'Ahrensfelde', 'Spandau', or 'Südkreuz'. Get off at 'S+U Potsdamer Platz' station. From here, walk towards the south along Potsdamer Straße for about 10 minutes until you reach the Landwehr Canal.
Walking
If you are nearby the Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate), start by walking south towards Ebertstraße. Continue straight until you reach Potsdamer Platz, then head towards the Landwehr Canal which is located just a short 15-minute walk away. You will pass through the vibrant area of Potsdamer Platz, known for its modern architecture and shops, making your stroll enjoyable.
Bus
From the Potsdam city center, head to the bus stop 'Luisenplatz'. Take bus number 606 towards 'S+U Berlin Zoologischer Garten'. After around 30 minutes, get off at 'Potsdamer Platz'. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the Landwehr Canal. Follow the signs to Potsdamer Straße and head south towards the canal.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Potsdam. Head towards the Brandenburg Gate and continue towards the Berlin border. Follow the bike lanes along the scenic route and head towards the Landwehr Canal. It’s a lovely ride of about 8 kilometers which should take around 30-40 minutes.
