Start your journey at the Marktplatz in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which is the central square of the town. From the Marktplatz, head northeast towards the Plönlein, a famous junction with a half-timbered house. Continue on the narrow street called Spitalgasse, which will lead you out of the main tourist area. Follow Spitalgasse until you reach a fork in the road, where you will take a left onto the Oberer Mauerweg street. Continue straight until you see the Oberer Mauerweg Tower on your left. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

If you are near the Rothenburg Town Hall, exit the building and head towards the main square (Marktplatz). From there, walk towards the Spitalgasse street. Keep walking straight on Spitalgasse until you reach the intersection where it meets Oberer Mauerweg. Turn left onto Oberer Mauerweg and walk until you reach the tower. This route should also take around 15-20 minutes.

From the Rothenburg ob der Tauber train station, exit the station and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs for the Altstadt (Old Town). Once you reach the Old Town, navigate towards the Marktplatz. From the Marktplatz, head northeast to Plönlein and then take Spitalgasse as previously described.
