Walking
From the center of Collenberg, follow the signs towards 'Burgruine Kollenburg'. The walk is uphill and takes approximately 20-30 minutes. The path is well-marked but can be steep in places. Look for a small sign on a tree indicating the turnoff to the castle ruin. There are no entrance fees or special transport required to reach the castle.
Driving
If driving, parking is available near the Jagdhaus (hunting lodge) outside of Collenberg. From there, follow the signs for a short walk (approximately 10-15 minutes) to the castle ruins. Parking is free. From the parking area, a small sign on a tree indicates the path to the Burgruine. Be aware that the road leading to the parking area is narrow and winding.
Public Transport
Take bus line 85 or 982/85 to the 'Collenberg' bus stop. From there, follow the signs towards the Burgruine. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes and involves an uphill climb. A single bus fare costs approximately €3-5. Check local transit schedules for current pricing and times.
