Driving
The most convenient way to reach Schloss Lichtenstein is by car. From the B27 and B312, follow signs to Lichtenstein and Honau. The castle is located just south of Honau. There is a parking lot near the Schloßschenke restaurant, approximately a 3-minute walk to the castle grounds. Parking fee is €2 per day.
Public Transport
While public transport doesn't directly reach the castle, you can take a train to Reutlingen Hbf, then bus 7606 or 400 to Honau. From Honau, it's approximately a 45-minute to 1-hour hike to the castle. Alternatively, on Sundays and public holidays from May to October, the Sonnenalbexpress bus runs from Engstingen train station to the 'Aufberg' stop, a shorter walk to the castle. A Baden-Württemberg-Ticket (€25 for a single traveler, plus €8 per additional traveler, valid for one day) covers the train and bus journey.
