Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by entering the address '89073 Ulm' into your GPS. The Tiergarten Ulm is located near the center of Ulm. Depending on your starting location in Swabia, you may take the A7 or A8 autobahn to reach Ulm. Upon arriving in Ulm, follow the signs to the city center (Zentrum). Look for signs directing you to 'Tiergarten' or 'Zoo'. There is a parking lot available near the entrance where you can park your car, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a train to Ulm Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Depending on your location in Swabia, you may need to transfer trains. Once you arrive at Ulm Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head to the bus terminal adjacent to it. Take bus line 5 or 6, which directly services Tiergarten Ulm. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to purchase a ticket before boarding; a single ticket costs around €2.50.

• Walking

  If you are already in the city center of Ulm, you can also choose to walk to Tiergarten Ulm. From the Ulm Cathedral (Ulmer Münster), head southwest towards the Bahnhofstraße, then continue onto the Olgastraße. Follow the signs for Tiergarten; this walk should take about 25-30 minutes, covering approximately 2 km. It's a pleasant walk through the city, and you will pass by various shops and cafes along the way.
