Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Würzburg's city center (Marktplatz), head east on Dominikanerstraße toward Plattnerstraße. Continue straight onto Rüdigerstraße which will lead you to Martin-Luther-Straße. Turn left onto Martin-Luther-Straße and walk for about 1 kilometer. The Central Cemetery (Hauptfriedhof) will be on your right at Martin-Luther-Straße 20.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus line 14 towards 'Heidingsfeld' or line 16 towards 'Zellerau'. Get off at the 'Hauptfriedhof' stop. Once you get off, the Central Cemetery is just a short walk away. Head back to the main road, and you will see the entrance to the cemetery.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental stations in the city. Start from the Residenz and head towards the Alte Mainbrücke (Old Main Bridge), then follow the bike path along the Main River towards the east. After crossing the bridge, take a right onto Martin-Luther-Straße. Continue straight for about 800 meters, and the Central Cemetery (Hauptfriedhof) will be on your left.
