Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Würzburg Residenz, head northeast toward Residenzplatz. From there, take the street called Balthasar-Neumann-Promenade, which will lead you to the Old Main Bridge (Alte Mainbrücke). Cross the bridge to the other side of the Main River. After crossing, turn left and follow the riverside path (Mainuferpromenade) heading upstream. Continue walking along the river until you see a path leading up the hill on your right. This path will take you directly to Marienberg Fortress.
