Walking
Start from the Würzburg Residenz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Exit the Residenz and head west on Residenzplatz toward Balthasar-Neumann-Promenade. Continue along the promenade until you reach the intersection with Ludwigstraße. Turn left onto Ludwigstraße and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will pass by the Hofgarten and various shops along the way. Stay on Ludwigstraße until it becomes Karmelitenstraße. Continue walking until you reach Schwanentor, which will be on your left. This picturesque old city gate is located in the Altstadt district, and you'll recognize it by its distinctive architecture.

If you prefer using public transport, start at the Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From the station, take tram line 1 or line 3 toward 'Löwenbräu'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Marktplatz'.
