Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Zugspitze and head towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen via the B2 road. Follow the signs for Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which is about a 30-minute drive. Once in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, look for signs directing you to Partnachklamm. You will need to park your car at one of the designated parking lots in the area. The closest parking lot is at the Olympic Ski Stadium (Olympiastadion), where you can park for a fee (approximately €5 for a day). From the parking lot, follow the signs for Partnachklamm, which is about a 20-minute walk through beautiful countryside.
Public Transportation
To reach Partnachklamm via public transportation, take a train from Zugspitze to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The train ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Garmisch-Partenkirchen station, exit the station and catch bus number 2 towards 'Partenkirchen - Olympiastadion'. You will get off at the 'Olympiastadion' stop. From there, it’s a short 20-minute walk to Partnachklamm, following the signs. Make sure to check the local bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary.
Walking
If you're staying near the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area and prefer a scenic walk, you can walk directly to Partnachklamm. Start at the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, head towards the Olympic Ski Stadium (Olympiastadion) and follow the signs for Partnachklamm. The walk will take around 30-40 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
