Getting There

    If you are already in Osu, the best way to reach Independence Arch is by walking. Start your journey from the Osu Castle, which is a well-known landmark. From Osu Castle, head northeast on Castle Road until you reach the intersection with Oxford Street. Turn left onto Oxford Street and continue walking straight. You will pass by various shops, cafes, and the famous Osu Mall. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will see the large Independence Arch ahead on your right side, located at GRX4+JV7, Accra.

  • Trotro (Shared Minibus)

    If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a trotro to Independence Arch. Look for a trotro heading towards 'Kwame Nkrumah Circle' or 'Tema Station'. You can find trotro stations near the main roads in Osu. Make sure to inform the conductor that you want to get off at Independence Arch. The fare is usually around 1 GHS. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the Independence Arch will be a short walk away from the trotro stop.

  • Bicycle Rental

    For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle. There are several bicycle rental shops in Osu where you can rent a bike for about 10 GHS per hour.
