Car
From Gwira, head southeast on the main road towards Takoradi. After approximately 30 kilometers, merge onto the N1 highway toward Accra. Continue on the N1 for about 180 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Accra. Once in Accra, follow signs for Osu/Klottey. As you drive into Osu, keep an eye out for the large white structure of Osu Castle located at the coast. There are parking facilities nearby where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
From Gwira, take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Takoradi and get off at the Takoradi Bus Terminal. From there, you can take another bus or a shared taxi to Accra. Buses to Accra usually run frequently and the fare is approximately 30-50 GHS. Upon arriving at the Accra bus terminal, you can take a taxi or use a ride-hailing service to reach Osu Castle. The taxi fare from the terminal to Osu Castle should be around 20-30 GHS.
Combination of Public Transport and Walking
Take a shared taxi from Gwira to Takoradi. Once you arrive at the Takoradi Bus Terminal, board a bus to Accra. After reaching the Accra bus terminal, take a taxi to Osu Castle. Alternatively, you can opt for a public bus to Osu and then walk the last stretch to the castle. Walking from the nearest bus stop to Osu Castle is about 15-20 minutes, and you will find clear signage directing you to the castle.
