Walking
If you are starting from the Tamale Central Market, head southwest on Savelugu Road towards the intersection with Nkrumah Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout at the junction of Nkrumah Road and the road leading to the stadium. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the road that leads to the stadium. After about 500 meters, you will see the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on your right.

From the Tamale Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and turn right onto the main road (Nkrumah Road). Walk straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit to stay on Nkrumah Road. Continue for another 800 meters, and then take a left turn onto the road leading to the stadium. After walking for about 300 meters, the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium will be on your left.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the Tamale Central Market. Ride southwest on Savelugu Road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the road leading to the stadium. Continue on this road for about 500 meters, and the stadium will be on your right.
