Getting There

  • Car

    From Wli Nature Reserve, head west on the main road towards Ho. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the junction for Kumasi. Turn left and follow the signs for Kumasi. After approximately 70 km, you will arrive in Kumasi. Look for the signs leading to Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located about 16 km from the city center. You may need to ask locals for the exact route, as it can be a bit winding. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may be under construction.

    From Wli Nature Reserve, take a shared taxi or trotro to Ho. The fare is around 5 GHS. Once in Ho, catch a bus or shared taxi heading to Kumasi, which costs approximately 20 GHS. Upon arriving in Kumasi, you can take a taxi or a trotro to Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary. Make sure to clarify your destination to the driver, as not all drivers may be familiar with Owabi.
