Walking
From the Gibraltar Cable Car Top Station, follow the signs for the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Apes' Den is located along Old Queen's Road, a moderate walk downhill. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Ensure you have a valid Nature Reserve ticket for entry. Note that the Middle Station is not operational between April and October, so you will need to walk from the Top Station.
Public Transport
Take a bus to the Gibraltar Cable Car base station. From the base station, purchase a cable car ticket that includes access to the Nature Reserve. The cable car will take you to the Top Station, from where you can walk to Apes' Den. Bus fares are approximately £2.20 for a single journey.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Gibraltar and can take you to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Negotiate a fare with the driver beforehand, as prices can vary. A taxi tour of the Upper Rock, including Apes' Den, typically costs around £30-£35. This price usually includes entry fees to the Nature Reserve. Taxis can be found at the airport, the border, and Casemates Square.
