    Getting There

    Walking

    The Windsor Suspension Bridge is located within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. From the entrance to the Nature Reserve, follow the well-marked trails towards the Upper Rock area. The walk to the bridge takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Note that the path can be steep and winding, so it may not be suitable for those with physical limitations. Entry to the Nature Reserve costs £13 per adult and £8 for children (ages 5-11). Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or online.

    Public Transport

    To reach the Upper Rock Nature Reserve by public transport, take bus routes 3 or 4 from the city center to the Cable Car station. From the Cable Car station, you can either take the cable car up to the top of the Rock and walk to the bridge, or walk up through the Nature Reserve. A single bus fare is approximately £2.20. A return ticket on the Cable Car costs £19.50 for adults and £9.50 for children. Entry to the Nature Reserve is additional: £13 per adult and £8 for children (ages 5-11).

Constructed by Bovis Koala, a local firm, in collaboration with Muntanya, a Spanish contractor specializing in suspension bridges, the bridge's main components were assembled in Spain and transported to Gibraltar.Walking across the bridge provides a thrilling experience, with a slight sway adding to the adventure. From the bridge, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Bay of Algeciras, and the North African coastline. The bridge is part of a larger restoration program within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, enhancing walking trails and providing interpretation panels for the public.The Windsor Suspension Bridge is accessible via hiking trails within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. The bridge is free to cross, but entry to the nature reserve is required. The bridge not only provides a practical route across the rugged landscape but also enhances the visitor experience by opening up new perspectives of the Rock.
