Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Gibraltar border, walk south on Winston Churchill Avenue. Turn left onto Line Wall Road, then right onto Grand Parade. The Cable Car station is located at the end of Grand Parade. Alternatively, follow signs for the Nature Reserve entrances at either Moorish Castle or Jews' Gate. Note that the walk to the top is steep and requires a good level of fitness.

  • Public Transport

    From the Gibraltar border, the No. 5 bus will take you to the city centre. From there, it is a short walk to the Cable Car station at Grand Parade. A day ticket costs approximately £2.50.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available at the Gibraltar border. A taxi to the Cable Car station or the Nature Reserve entrance will cost approximately £3-5. A taxi tour of the Rock, including entrance fees to the Nature Reserve, is a popular option, costing around £35 per person.

  • Cable Car

    The Gibraltar Cable Car provides direct access to the Top of the Rock in approximately 6 minutes. The base station is located at Grand Parade, a short walk from the city center. A round-trip ticket, including entry to the Nature Reserve, costs £49 for adults and £31 for children (ages 4-11). A one-way ticket including the Nature Reserve costs £46.50 for adults. Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended.
