Getting There

  • Walking

    From Main Street, head towards Casemates Square and find the narrow street in front of the Central Post Office. Follow the signs for the Upper Rock Reserve. Pass through Willis Road on the left until you reach the gate where the Moorish Castle is located. The Castle Steps start inside Main Street from Casemate Square.

  • Public Transport

    Take the number 2 bus from Main Street in Gibraltar. The bus will take you to the entrance of the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards Castle Steps, which is about a 15-minute walk. Bus fare is approximately £1.50 each way.

  • Car

    From the main roads in Gibraltar, use the A302 road and follow the signs toward the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. Drive carefully along the designated paths once you enter the reserve. Park in the designated parking area near the entrance. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Castle Steps, following the signs. Parking fees may apply.
