From the Grand Parade car park or Casemates Square, walk south along Main Street, then follow Europa Road. Turn onto Engineer Road and continue until you reach the Pillars of Hercules and the entrance to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. The Mediterranean Steps trailhead is located near Jew's Gate. A Nature Reserve ticket is required for entry, costing £19 for adults.
Public Transport

Take bus route 2 or 3 from the city center to the Alameda Gardens stop. From there, it's a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Follow Europa Road and then Engineer Road to reach the Pillars of Hercules and the Mediterranean Steps trailhead. A single bus ticket costs £1.80, or a day pass is available for £2.50. A Nature Reserve ticket is required for entry, costing £19 for adults.

Taxis are available from various locations in Gibraltar, including the airport, border crossing, and Casemates Square. A taxi tour to the Upper Rock, including entry to the Nature Reserve, costs approximately £8 per person, plus an additional £8 entrance fee, with a minimum of 4 people. The steps were restored in 2007, making them safer and more accessible.
