Walking
From the Gibraltar Cable Car Top Station, Apes' Den is a downhill walk through the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Follow signs for St. Michael's Cave and the Windsor Suspension Bridge; Apes' Den is located near the latter. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes from St. Michael's Cave. Note that a Nature Reserve ticket is required to access this area.

Public Transport
Take a bus to the town center and transfer to a route that ascends the Upper Rock. Routes 2, 3, or 7 will bring you close to the Cable Car base station. From there, purchase a ticket for the Cable Car. Upon reaching the top station, follow the walking directions to Apes' Den. Bus fare is approximately £2.20 for a single journey. A Nature Reserve ticket is also required, costing £30 for adults and £22 for children (ages 5-11).

Taxi
Taxis are available from the Gibraltar Airport, the frontier with Spain, and various locations in town. Hire a taxi for a tour of the Upper Rock, including a stop at Apes' Den. A standard taxi tour to the Upper Rock costs approximately £8 per person, plus an additional £8 entry fee per person to the Upper Rock attractions, with a minimum of 4 persons. Customised tours can also be negotiated.
