Getting There

  • Metro

    If you are in central Athens, head to the nearest Metro station. Take Line 1 (Green Line) or Line 3 (Blue Line) and transfer at Monastiraki station to Line 3 (to Doukissis Plakentias). Stay on the train for 4 stops until you reach the Acropolis station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards the Acropolis. Walk east on Makrigianni Street for about 5 minutes, and you will find the Acropolis Research Center located at Makrigianni 2-4.

    Look for a bus stop nearby and take any bus that goes towards the city center. Buses 040, 550, or any that stop at Syntagma Square can get you close. Once you reach Syntagma Square, walk towards Vassilissis Sofias Avenue and take the bus number 230 towards Nea Filadelfeia. Get off at the stop named 'Makrigianni' and walk back a short distance on Makrigianni Street to find the Acropolis Research Center at 2-4.

From the Acropolis entrance, head down the path towards Makrigianni Street. Turn right on Makrigianni and walk straight for about 5 minutes.
