Getting There

  • Metro

    To get to Thiseio, take the Athens Metro Line 1 (Green Line) towards Kifisia. If you are coming from Syntagma Square, board the train at Syntagma Metro Station. After 3 stops, get off at Monastiraki Station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the Monastiraki Square and follow the signs for Thiseio. From Monastiraki Square, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Thiseio. Head southwest on Mitropoleos Street, then turn right onto Agias Irinis Street, and continue straight until you reach Thiseio.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch bus number 049 from Omonia Square. Board the bus heading towards Piraeus. Get off at the Thiseio stop. After you exit the bus, you will be right in the Thiseio area, and you can explore the local streets and attractions nearby.

  • Walking

    If you are staying in the Plaka area, you can easily walk to Thiseio. Start by heading towards the Acropolis and then follow the pedestrian streets leading to Thiseio. It's about a 15-minute walk. Head west on Areopagitou Street, and continue straight until you reach Thiseio. The scenic route takes you through some beautiful parts of Athens.
