Maximos Mansion, located on Irodou Attikou Street next to the Presidential Mansion, serves as the official seat of the Prime Minister of Greece since 1982. Originally built in 1912, the mansion has a rich history, including serving as a residence for foreign dignitaries and even the German Admiral of the Aegean Sea during the Nazi occupation.

Walking
From Syntagma Square, walk along Vasilissis Sofias Avenue towards the east. Turn right onto Irodou Attikou Street. Maximos Mansion will be on your left, next to the Presidential Mansion. The walk is approximately 15 minutes.
Public Transport
Take the Athens Metro to Syntagma station. From there, walk along Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and turn right onto Irodou Attikou Street. The mansion will be on your left. A single metro ticket costs €1.20 and is valid for 90 minutes.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Athens. Ask to be taken to Maximos Mansion on Irodou Attikou Street. From Syntagma Square, a taxi ride will cost approximately €8-€20, depending on traffic and time of day. Ensure the meter is set to the base fare of €1.80.
