If you are in the Plaka area, you can walk directly to the Remains Athens State Prison. Start from the Acropolis Museum and head southwest towards the Acropolis. Continue walking downhill until you reach Apostolou Pavlou Street. Turn right and walk for about 5-7 minutes until you reach Apostolou Pavlou 23. The prison remains are visible from the street.

From Syntagma Square, walk to the bus stop at Syntagma. Take bus number 500 towards Omonia. After approximately 10 minutes and 5 stops, get off at the stop for the Acropolis. From the bus stop, walk towards the Acropolis entrance, then head southwest on Kifissias Street. Turn right onto Apostolou Pavlou Street, and you will find the Remains Athens State Prison at Apostolou Pavlou 23. A standard ticket for public transport in Athens costs €1.20 and is valid for 90 minutes.
