Getting There

  • Walking

    From Syntagma Square, head towards Stadiou Street. As you face the Greek Parliament building, walk straight down the avenue (Stadiou Street) for about 500 meters. You will see the National Historical Museum - Old Parliament House on your left at Stadiou 13, Platia Kolokotroni. Look for the imposing neoclassical building, which is well marked.

  • Metro

    If you prefer using the metro, you can take Line 3 (the blue line) from Syntagma station towards the direction of the airport. Get off at the next stop, Monastiraki station. From there, exit the station and walk back towards Syntagma Square, turning left onto Stadiou Street. Continue for about 300 meters, and the museum will be on your right at Stadiou 13, Platia Kolokotroni. Please note that a single metro ticket costs around €1.40.

  • Bus

    You can also take a bus from Syntagma Square. Look for bus stops around the square and take bus number 550 or 040. Both buses stop near the museum. Get off at the 'Platia Kolokotroni' stop, which is just in front of the museum entrance. The bus fare is approximately €1.40, and tickets can be purchased at kiosks or bus stops.
