    To reach Ancient Eleutherna from Rethymno, take the KTEL bus from Rethymno's central bus station. Buses to Arkadi or Eleutherna are available. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Eleutherna, which is well-marked. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards the archaeological site, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

    If you are in Heraklion, take the KTEL bus to Rethymno. Once in Rethymno, transfer to the bus heading to Arkadi or Eleutherna. The total travel time from Heraklion to Ancient Eleutherna will be around 1.5 hours, including the transfer. Follow the same walking directions from the Eleutherna bus stop as mentioned above.
