Bus
From Heraklion, take the KTEL bus from the central bus station to Rethymno. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Rethymno, transfer to a local bus heading towards Kalypso Beach. Look for the bus marked 'Kalypso' or 'Plakias.' The local bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Kalypso Beach stop, which is close to the beach entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Crete. Simply ask the taxi driver to take you to Kalypso Beach (Kalypso 740 60). This option is more expensive but will provide a comfortable and direct ride, taking approximately 1 hour from Heraklion.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in Kalypso or Plakias, you can walk to Kalypso Beach. From Plakias, head south along the coastal road until you reach Kalypso Beach. It is a scenic walk and will take you about 30 minutes, depending on your pace. Follow the signs towards the beach, and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.
