Getting There

Bus
From Heraklion city center, head to the central bus station located at 1 Karterou Street. Look for the bus line that goes to Hersonissos or Malia. Buses depart regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or the bus driver (the fare is around €2-€3). Get off at the Hersonissos stop. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to Aposelemis Wildlife Refuge.

After getting off at Hersonissos, head towards the main road (Eleftheriou Venizelou). Walk north on the main road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Aposelemis. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Aposelemis Wildlife Refuge, which is approximately another 1 kilometer from the intersection.
