    Lion Square is centrally located and easily accessible on foot from many points in Heraklion. From the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, head east on 28th October Street for approximately 600 meters. The square will be at the end of the street. There are shops and cafes along the way.

    Public Transport

    Heraklion's urban bus system, KTEL, provides access to Lion Square. Numerous bus lines converge near the square. From Heraklion Airport, take a bus to the city center. Buses depart every 20 minutes and cost approximately €1-€2. Purchase tickets at the airport or on the bus, though on-the-bus tickets cost more. From the main bus station, Lion Square is a short walk.

    Taxis are readily available throughout Heraklion, including at the airport, port, and bus stations. A taxi from Heraklion Airport to Lion Square typically costs between €10-€13 and takes about 5 minutes.
