Constructed on the southeastern side (Its Kale) of the castle, the tomb reflects the intricate history of Ioannina and the surrounding region.Visitors to the tomb can appreciate its unique architectural design, which includes a wrought iron railing that is a replica of the original. The tomb includes two graves, one belonging to Ali Pasha and the other to one of his wives. After his assassination in 1822 on an island in Lake Pamvotis, only Ali Pasha's body was buried here, while his head was sent to Istanbul.
