Venture into the depths of Perama Cave, one of Greece's most impressive and largest cave systems, located a mere 4 kilometers from Ioannina. This natural wonder, nestled in Goritsa Hill near the serene Lake Pamvotida, invites you to explore a subterranean world adorned with breathtaking geological formations. Discovered by chance in 1940 when villagers sought shelter during World War II, the cave's true splendor was unveiled in the 1950s by the pioneering speleologists Ioannis and Anna Petrocheilos.
