Car

If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the capital of Kefalonia, Argostoli. From Argostoli, take the road to Lixouri, which is well-marked and leads directly to the Paliki Peninsula. As you approach Lixouri, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit to continue on the main road. After about 3 kilometers, you will see signs for Kounopetra Beach. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the beach parking area. Note that parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with some change.

Public Transportation

To reach Kounopetra Beach using public transportation, first, take a bus from Argostoli to Lixouri. The bus service generally operates several times a day, and you can check the schedule at the local bus station or online. Once in Lixouri, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a local taxi to Kounopetra Beach. Taxis are readily available in Lixouri, and the fare to the beach should be around 10-15 euros. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
