Walking
Starting from the central square of Kalampaka, head east towards the main road (E65). Walk about 1 km until you reach the entrance to the Meteora rock formations. You will see a path that leads into the forested area. Follow this path uphill for approximately 30 minutes. As you ascend, you will notice signs directing you towards various monasteries. Keep an eye out for the signs to Βράχος Χοντρό μαρμάρι, which is located near the Great Meteoron Monastery. Once you reach the area with stunning views, you will find Βράχος Χοντρό μαρμάρι just a short walk from the main path.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Kalampaka, take the local bus that heads towards Kastraki. The bus stop is near the central square. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the Kastraki stop. From there, walk towards the foot of the Meteora cliffs, which will take approximately 15 minutes. Look for the trails that lead up into the rock formations, and follow the signs directing you to Βράχος Χοντρό μαρμάρι, which is a short hike from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Kalampaka. Start your journey by heading towards the main road (E65) and cycle towards the Meteora area. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Once you arrive at the entrance to the Meteora formations, park your bike and take the hiking trail leading up to Βράχος Χοντρό μαρμάρι, which is approximately a 30-minute walk from the entrance.
