Walking

From the Monemvasia bus stop or parking area outside the castle walls, proceed through the main gate, the only entrance to the kastro. Follow the main cobblestone street approximately 300 meters. The Malvasia Traditional Hotel will be on your right, offering stunning views of the sea. Note that the entire lower town is pedestrianized. Cost: Free.
Taxi

From the new town of Gefyra, a taxi can take you to the entrance of Monemvasia. From there, it is a 300m walk along the main street to the Malvasia Traditional Hotel. Cost: A taxi from Gefyra to the Monemvasia gate will cost approximately €5-€10.

Renovations were completed in 2015.Passing through the imposing castle gate, visitors are transported to another era, where cobbled streets, beautiful mansions, and ancient churches coexist with modern shops and tavernas. The hotel is located 300 meters from the castle gate, at the end of the main street. The eastern section of the walls, the Myrtoan Sea, and the open horizon unfold before it.The hotel offers 14 rooms, each uniquely decorated with antique furniture and rugs, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Many rooms offer beautiful sea views, balconies, and fireplaces. Guests can enjoy a sitting room, a breakfast room, and a popular bar with stunning sea views during the summer months.Staying within the kastro (castle) itself is part of the magic of Monemvasia.
