If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Sparta. Take the E65 highway towards Kalamata. After approximately 19 kilometers, take the exit towards Messene/Ithomi. Follow the signs for Ithomi, which will lead you to the Temple of Messene. The temple is located about 7 kilometers from the exit, and you will see signs directing you to the archaeological site. Please note that parking is available near the entrance.

For those using public transportation, first take a bus from Sparta to Kalamata. Buses operate frequently, and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Once in Kalamata, transfer to a local bus heading towards Messene/Ithomi. The bus ride should take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to the Temple of Messene, then follow any available signage to reach the archaeological site, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
