Dimosari Lenosaioi Gorge Travel Guide

The Dimosari Lenosaioi Gorge, nestled in southern Evia, is a captivating destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers. Located on Mount Ochi, the gorge stretches for 10 kilometers from an elevation of 1,386 meters down to Kallianos beach on the Aegean Sea. The trail is divided into two distinct sections; the upper part above Lenosaioi village is rugged, while the lower section transforms into a narrow valley.Historically, the gorge served as a crucial communication route, connecting Karystos with Kavodoro. Evidence suggests that metal mines existed in the area during the archaic and classical periods. Today, the path is still used by farmers and hikers alike.
