Walking
From Pyrgos, head north on the main road towards Fira. After about 6 km, you'll reach the town of Fira. Once in Fira, follow the signs towards Oia, which is approximately 10 km away. You can either walk along the scenic path that runs along the caldera or take a local bus from Fira to Oia. If you choose to walk, enjoy the stunning views, and when you arrive in Oia, continue to follow the signs towards Ammoudi Bay. The bay is located down a steep path from Oia, so be prepared for a bit of a descent.
Bus
From Pyrgos, walk to the nearest bus stop in the village, where you can catch a bus to Fira. The buses run frequently, and the journey should take about 20 minutes. Once in Fira, transfer to the bus heading towards Oia. This bus ride takes about 30 minutes. When you arrive in Oia, follow the signs to Ammoudi Bay. You'll need to walk down a steep set of stairs or a path to reach the bay itself.
