Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Pyrgos, head southeast on the main road towards the Pyrgos castle. As you walk, enjoy the views of the traditional Cycladic architecture. Continue along the main road until you see the sign for Megalochori. Turn left onto the road leading to Megalochori and follow the path for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and cafes. As you approach Megalochori, you will see Boutari Winery to your right. The winery is well-marked and has a distinctive architecture. The walk should take around 20-25 minutes.

    From Pyrgos, you can take a local bus towards Megalochori. Look for the bus stop near the village square. Buses run regularly, but check the schedule for exact timings. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride which should take about 10 minutes. Get off at Megalochori and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Boutari Winery. Follow the signs towards the winery, which will be located to your left after a brief stroll.
