From Rethymno, head to the main bus station located on Eirinis Street. Look for the buses heading towards Chania and ask if they stop at Akrotiri. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Akrotiri, get off at the bus stop closest to the beach area. From there, follow the signs to Sosorides beach, which is a short 10-15 minute walk down a path leading towards the coast.

If you are already in the center of Rethymno, you can walk to the beach. Head west on the main road (E75) and follow it as it curves northwards. This route will take you through some scenic areas and local neighborhoods. After about an hour of walking, you will reach Akrotiri. From there, look for signs pointing to Sosorides beach and follow the path down to the coastline.

For a quicker option, you can take a taxi from any point in Rethymno. Just tell the driver you want to go to Sosorides beach in Akrotiri. The ride will take about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are readily available in the city center, or you can call one using a local taxi service.
