Experience St. Georges Bastion

Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, head east along the main road (Doriou) towards the Old Town's southern gate. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Apollonion Street. Turn left onto Apollonion Street, and you will see St. Georges Bastion on your right-hand side after a short walk. The total distance is approximately 800 meters and should take around 10-15 minutes.

    From the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, exit the museum and head south towards the main square. Continue straight until you reach the Old Town walls. Enter the walls and walk along the path until you reach a fork. Take the left path which leads to Apollonion Street. Follow Apollonion Street, and St. Georges Bastion will be on your left after about 500 meters. This route is roughly 600 meters and will take about 8-10 minutes.

    If you are near the Clock Tower in Rhodes Old Town, exit the tower and head southwest towards the walls. Walk along the walls until you reach a pathway leading down to Apollonion Street. Turn right onto Apollonion Street, and after a few minutes, you will see St. Georges Bastion on your right. This route is approximately 700 meters and should take about 10-12 minutes.
