If you are driving from the end of the Samaria Gorge, follow the signs leading to Chania. Once you reach the main road (EO Chania - Kissamos), turn left towards Chania. After approximately 13 km, you will see signs for Platanias. Take the exit toward Platanias and continue straight until you reach the beach area. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a small fee, typically around €2-€3 per hour.

After exiting the Samaria Gorge, you can take a bus from the nearby village of Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion. From Chora Sfakion, catch a ferry to the village of Sfakia. Once in Sfakia, take the bus heading to Chania. The bus will stop in Platanias, which is a short walk to the beach. The total journey may take approximately 2-3 hours depending on connections. Ensure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary by season. The bus fare is usually around €5-€10.
