Walking
If you are in Oia village, the Castle of Oia is a short walk away. Start at the main pedestrian street in Oia, known as Nikolaou Nomikou. Head towards the northern end of the village. Follow the path that leads you along the cliffside with beautiful views of the caldera. Continue walking until you reach the three iconic blue-domed churches. From there, take the steps that lead down towards the sea. The Castle is located at the edge of the village, overlooking the water, and is marked by signs. It is an ideal spot for sunset views.

If you are coming from Fira, take the KTEL bus service that departs from the main bus station in Fira. Buses to Oia run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Oia, exit the bus station and follow the pedestrian street towards the north of the village. The Castle is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, following the main route through the village.

You can also take a taxi from any location in Santorini. Simply inform the driver that you would like to go to the Castle of Oia. Taxis are available in major areas such as Fira or Imerovigli. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your location. Once you arrive in Oia, you can follow the pedestrian pathways to the castle, which is a short walk from the taxi drop-off point.
