Start at the main square in Fira, the capital of Santorini. Head east on the main road (Dimokratias Street) towards the direction of the cable car. Continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Pyrgos. Turn left at this intersection. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 km. You will see signs directing you to the Church of Prophet Elias as you ascend. The church is located on the highest point of the island, so be prepared for a bit of a climb. The stunning views will make it worthwhile!

Begin your journey in Oia, a beautiful village known for its sunsets. Walk towards Finikia (about a 10-15 minute walk). From Finikia, continue heading south on the road for about 3 km until you reach the main road connecting all villages. You will see signs for the Church of Prophet Elias. Follow the signs uphill for another 1.5 km until you reach the church. This scenic route will provide beautiful views of the caldera on your way.

From Fira, head to the bus station located near the main square. Take a bus to Pyrgos, which is about a 10-minute ride.
